Assistant Section Officer in Central Secretariat Service, is an Assistant post offered through SSC CGL. The designation has this year changed from Assistant to Assistant Section Officer. Your work profile will normally include clerical work like completing files and  making reports,routine noting, drafting, writing letter and putting them up to the higher authorities. Sometimes you may also have to assist in the formulation and monitoring implementation of policies concerning subjects.

As an Assistant in other Ministries, you will have a proper work schedule. Daily you will be going in the morning and coming back to your home in the evening, no extra work hours and working in shifts.
